Overview

OpenAI is a brand in its adolescence; ever-growing and evolving. As we nurture the brand, our thoughtful, bold, and iconic design helps tell the story of AI and its impact on humanity. This body of work manifests itself from conceptual branding to graphic design to spatial & experential applications, as the research and deployment company finds our bearings on the world’s stage and solidifies our visual identity.

Merch design for Sora Shorts, Tribeca Film Festival

‘Sora Shorts’ was the debut of Sora, OpenAI’s text-to-video model, in the filmmaking community, with five experimental short films created by independent filmmakers. Based on a visual identity created by our in-house design team, programme booklets and merchandise were created for the short films’ reception at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

Leaning on graphic design to tell the story of AI, these covers were published on openai.com, including the very first announcement of ChatGPT as a research preview. These experimental yet simple editorial pieces boil complex ideas down to shapes, color, and textures, making AI more accessible and digestible for all.
